About College
R. T. E. Societys Rural Engineering College was established in 1980. Rural Engineering College (REC) has achieved an enviable status due to a strong emphasis on academic and technical excellence and has been in the forefront of imparting engineering education for over 26 years. Being the first engineering college in the North Karnataka region, it has contributed largely to the development and prosperity of the region. It currently offers 7 Under Graduate and 1 Post Graduate Courses affiliated to Visveshwaraiah Technological University, Belgaum, and is recognised by AICTE, New Delhi. The mission of R. T. E. Societys Rural Engineering College is to produce world class Engineering Professionals using the state – of – art technologies and teaching methodologies with the aim of making them responsible and better citizens.
