Sal, a prominent species, is abundantly found in the Tropical Dry Deciduous forests of West Bengal. These forests are primarily located in the districts of Bankura, Purulia, East and West Midnapore, Birbhum, and Bardhaman, situated in the Western plateau regions of the state.
