Veteran British journalist Sir
Mark Tully was conferred with Lifetime
Achievement Award 2019 at UK-India Awards in London. The
award celebrate special talents and organisations who use their worldwide
influence to strengthen UK-India ties.
Sir William Mark Tully:
Sir William Mark Tully, KBE is the former Bureau Chief of the
BBC, New Delhi. He worked with the BBC for a period of 30 years before
resigning in July 1994. He held the position of Chief of Bureau, BBC, Delhi,
for 20 years. He has received awards and written books. He is a member of the
Oriental Club. He has been previously knighted
by Queen Elizabeth II in the UK and conferred with the Padma
Bhushan in India.
