1) It is known that the number of female students in the B.Design course is 82 less than the number of male students in the B.Design course. What is the difference between the number of male students in the B.Tech course and the number of female students in the BBA course?

Total strength of male students=1600

From the given information, the number of male students in each course be calculated as:

Female students in B.Designare 82 less than the number of male students.

Number of female students in B.Design Course= 176-82=94

Total strength of B.Design batch=176+94=270

Total strength of B.Design is 9% of total number of students enrolled.

=> 9 % of total strength=270

=> Total strength of batch=3000

Number of students in BBA course=20% of 3000=600

Number of female students in BBA course=600-288=312

Difference between number of male students in

B.Tech and female students in BBA=768-312=456

2) In the next session, the number of seats in the B.Tech course is increased by 10% while seats in other courses remain the same. What is the ratio of the percentage of the number of students in B.Pharma and B.Tech in the next session?

Let the number of students in the present session be 100x

=> Number of students in B.Tech course=45x

=> Number of students in B.Pharma=15x

=> Total number of students=104.5

Students in B.Pharma remain the same in the next year.

Ratio of B.Pharma Students and B.Tech

Students=15/49.5=10/33=10:33

3) 10% of students in B.Tech failed in their annual semester exam. The passing percentage of female students is 93.3 % while 96 students failed among male students. What is the total number of students in B.Tech who passed the exam?

Let the number of students in B.Tech be ‘X’

Number of male students=768

=> Number of female students=X-768

Passing percentage among girls=93.3%

Percentage of girls who failed=100-93.3=6.7%

=> Number of girls who failed=0.067(X-768)

Failure percentage of entire batch=10%

Total number of students failed in entire

batch=0.1X

Also, number of failed male students=96

=> 96+0.067(X-768) =0.1X

=> 0.033X=1/30X=44.5

=> X=1335

Failed students percentage =10%

Number of students who passed the exam=90% of 1335=1201

4) The average number of students in B.Tech and B.Design is 810.
