Tamil Nadu state government has launched TN Amma Ilaignar Vilayattu Thittam Scheme on 13 January 2020. This TN Amma Youth Sports Scheme aims to develop leadership skills and promote unity among the youth.

The scheme is going to be implemented in 12,524 village panchayats and 528 town panchayats across the state.
The state govt. of Tamilnadu will implement the scheme with an outlay of Rs. 76.24 crore.
Tamilnadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami inaugurated the “Amma Ilaignar Vilayattu Thittam” via video conferencing from the Secretariat.
The scheme was inaugurated at the Kiloy village panchayat ground in Sriperumbudur. During the event, CM Palaniswami also launched the logo of the Amma Youth Sports Scheme 2020.
CM Palaniswami also inaugurated a hostel in Trichy which was constructed at a cost of Rs 96 lakh.
