Tezpur University and IITM Pune signed An MoU for Carbon research: The University of Tezpur and the Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM), Pune, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to analyse and re-examine carbon dioxide net ecosystem transfer in Assam’s famous Kaziranga National Park. Along with it, Both will collaborate and develop various research areas related to “Greenhouse Gases and Biosphere–Atmosphere Exchange of Energy”.

The institutes will broadly collaborate in research areas such as biosphere-atmosphere exchange of green-house gases and energy, observation of meteorological and bio-meteorological parameters such as rainfall, temperature, relative humidity, wind speed and direction, radiation, soil temperature, soil heat flux, using Eddy Covariance and other systems.
