The height of the triangle is equal to the radius of the circle and the height of the triangle is 40% more than the base of the triangle. If the area of the circle is 616 cm2, then find the area of the triangle?

A.            70 cm2

B.            147 cm2

C.            154 cm2

D.            91 cm2

Sol:

The area of the circle=616 cm2

22/7*r2=616

r=14 cm

The height of the triangle=14 cm

The base of the triangle=14*100/140=10 cm

The area of the triangle=1/2*14*10=70 cm2
