Train A is moving at a speed of 75 km/hr and crosses a man who is running at 12 km/hr in the same direction in 12 seconds

Q. Train A is moving at a speed of 75 km/hr and crosses a man who is running at 12 km/hr in the same direction in 12 seconds. If Train A crosses Train B which is running at the speed of 45 km/hr in the same direction in 48 seconds, then find the length of train B?

A.170 meter

B.190 meter

C.150 meter

D.160 meter

E. None of these

Sol:

Let the length of Train A =X(in meter)

(75-12)*5/18=X/12

63 * 5/18 * 12=X

X=210

Let, the length of Train B =Y

(75-45)*5/18=(210+Y)/48

30 * 5/18 * 48=(210+Y)

210+Y=400

Y=190 meter
