Solution

Let two years ago, the ages of Naresh and Suresh was 3X and 2X.

So one year hence, the ages of Naresh and Suresh would be 3X+3 and 2X+3 respectively.

15X + 15= 14X + 21

X = 6

Present age of Naresh =3*6 + 2 = 20 years

Present age of Suresh = 2*6 + 2 = 14 years

∴Sum of their present ages = 20 + 14 = 34 years
