UAE Introduces Blue Visa: 10-Year Residency for Foreigners

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has launched the first phase of the Blue Visa system, a 10-year residency permit designed for individuals who contribute to environmental sustainability. This initiative was announced at the World Governments Summit 2025 in Dubai, held from February 11 to 13. It was introduced by the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment (MoCCAE) in partnership with the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Ports Security (ICP). The Blue Visa adds to the UAE’s existing long-term residency options, such as the Golden Visa and Green Visa, and highlights the country’s commitment to sustainability and climate action.
