UDAN Scheme: Transforming India’s Regional Air Connectivity
Why the scheme is in the news?
On April 21, the Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) started the fifth phase of the Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS)-UDAN (Ude Desh Ka Aam Nagrik) to improve access to India’s regional districts. The MoCA has released a bid document, inviting airlines to bid on various routes as part of the fifth round of bidding for its regional connectivity scheme UDAN.
