In an effort to fight the increasing number of forest fires, Vaibhav Singh, an officer with the Indian Forest Service (IFoS) in Uttarakhand, has created an advanced Forest Fire App. This innovative tool, inspired by technologies from Canada, Australia, and South Africa, significantly improves fire detection, enhances response efficiency, and provides real-time tracking of firefighting teams. The Uttarakhand Forest Department has implemented this app, involving 7,000 forest staff and planning for further expansion.
