Uttarakhand Unveils ₹1.01 Lakh Crore Budget, Prioritizing Infra and Welfare

The Uttarakhand government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, has announced a budget of ₹1,01,175.33 crore for the financial year 2025-26. This budget was presented by Finance Minister Prem Chandra Aggarwal in the State Assembly in Dehradun and emphasizes infrastructure, welfare, and economic growth while maintaining fiscal stability. The financial plan is based on the ‘GYAN’ model (Gareeb, Yuva, Anndata, and Naari), specifically targeting the needs of the poor, youth, farmers, and women. Significant funding is allocated to key sectors such as agriculture, industry, energy, roads, connectivity, tourism, Ayush, and social security, all aimed at enhancing development throughout the state.
