Solution | Balai Chand Mukhopadhyay, born on 19th July 1899 and passing away on 9th February 1979, was a multi-talented Indian writer who excelled in various genres such as novels, short stories, plays, poetry, and even pursued a career as a physician. Writing under the pen name Banaphul, which translates to “the wild flower” in Bengali, he left a significant impact on Bengali literature. In recognition of his contributions, Mukhopadhyay was honored with the prestigious civilian award, the Padma Bhushan. |
