In 2011, the International Federation of Environmental Health (IFEH) declared to observe World Environmental Health Day on 26 September every year.
The central idea behind celebrating this day is that the health of the human race is irrevocably intertwined with the health of the environment. Therefore, in order to protect and advance human health, preserving and enhancing the planet’s health is not a matter of choice instead of a matter of concern.
The Theme for the 2021 World Environmental Health Day: “Prioritizing Environmental Health for healthier communities in the global recovery.”
The IFEH was established in 1986 and is based in London, England.
