World Sanskrit Day or Sanskrit Diwas is celebrated on Shraavana Poornima, which is the Poornima day that is on full moon day in the month of Shraavana in the Hindu calendar. This year Sanskrit Day falls on August 3rd. In 2019 it was celebrated on 15 August.
