Around 499 lakh tonnes of paddy have been procured from Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Telangana, Uttarakhand, Tamil Nadu, Chandigarh, Jammu and Kashmir, Kerala, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Bihar, Jharkhand, Assam and West Bengal.
According to the ministry, approval was accorded for procurement of over 51 lakh 66 thousand tonnes of Pulse and Oilseeds from Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Telangana, Gujarat, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, Rajasthan and Andhra Pradesh under Price Support Scheme.
A quantity of over 75 lakh Cotton Bales valuing more than 22 thousand crore rupees has been procured benefitting over 14 lakh 81 thousand farmers.
