India.
He became Nepal Army Chief in September 2018.

arrangement between India and Japan.
It authorised the Reserve Bank of India to sign the deal with the Bank of Japan for a
maximum amount of $75 billion.
The arrangement will bring stability to foreign exchange and capital markets in India.
It will also help in maintaining an appropriate level of balance of payments.

The Union Cabinet approved the Signing of Terms of Reference (TOR) between India
and Swaziland (Eswatini) on 10 January 2019.
The TOR will govern a designated Indian Expert who will provide tax assistance to
Swaziland under the Tax Inspectors Without Borders Programme (TIWB).
TIWB is a joint programme of UNDP and OECD.
TIWB aims to strengthen the tax administrations of developing countries.
The three-day 'Bengal Fish Fest 2019' was inaugurated in Kolkata on 11 January
2019.
The festival is organised by the West Bengal's fisheries department.
The aim of the festival is to make the people aware of the achievement of the state
government in the area of fisheries.
The festival gives a platform for showcasing the policies that helped in the
improvement of fish production.

National Consultation on Child Protection Held in -----
The government of Odisha launched the 'Ama Ghare LED' scheme on 11 January
2019.
Under the scheme, about 95 lakh families in the state will each get four LED bulbs
free of cost.
The LED bulbs (9-watt each) will be distributed to the beneficiaries registered under
the National Food Security Act (NFSA) and the State Food Security Scheme (SFSC).
